John Hawkes Joins Lost for Season 6
Posted on Aug 19, 2009 by Posted by: Clarissa

No sooner had Ausiello put out information regarding a new Lost character for Season 6 than we got word that John Hawkes (who appeared on Deadwood) would be joining the cast as this new character named Lennon.

Lennon is described as: the scruffy, edgy and charismatic spokesperson and translator for the president of a foreign corporation who is far more powerful than it seems from his position. Lennon can be deferential when it’s called for. He’s the spokesperson/translator for the president of a foreign corporation. He’s a wily negotiator, and far more powerful than his lowly position would seem to indicate. Recurring.

Hrm....but who does he work for?  Widmore?  Mr. Paik?  Someone else?

Which Old Characters Are Returning?
Posted on Aug 10, 2009 by Posted by: Clarissa

We have known for a long time that Claire will be returning for the sixth and final season of Lost, but in the last few weeks the rumor mill has been going haywire with news that other former cast members would be returning, including Maggie Grace (Shannon), Ian Somerhalder (Boone), Greg Grunberg (the pilot), Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet), Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) and even Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Mr. Eko).

Well, we have confirmation that some people are definitely returning and some strong rumors that others will be.

If you want to know, click here to read more (some of the answers are a bit spoilery).

Mysteries of the Universe: The Dharma Initiative - Part 2
Posted on Aug 5, 2009 by Posted by: Clarissa

Below is the second video in the "Mysteries of the Universe: The Dharma Initiative" series that's being put out by ABC.  This one is curious, because it tries to link Dharma to Area 51 and then discusses Dharma recruitment techniques.

Videos of the Lost Panel at Comic Con
Posted on Jul 26, 2009 by Posted by: Clarissa

The four videos below show the entire Lost panel from Comic Con the other day, including Darlton and various cast members answering audience questions.  I'm not sure yet whether they feature the "gag" commercials that might hint at an alternate timeline in Season 6 because I haven't watched them all the way through yet, but it's still entertaining.

Thanks to Jo, who covered this panel for docarzt.com and tvovermind.com and shared her videos!

Funny Video: The Final Scene of Lost
Posted on Jul 26, 2009 by Posted by: Clarissa

At the Lost Comic Con panel, Darlton played a little joke on the audience.  They locked up a piece of paper that supposedly had the very last scene of Lost written on it.  Then Josh Holloway forced Damon to open the book and grabbed the paper, trying to read it.  Michael Emerson hilariousy jokes that Josh can't read, grabs the paper himself and then proceeds to read it out to the audience.  I'm not going to spoil the joke for you, but watching Michael curse "what the f*ck is this?!" is too funny.  Check it out below.

Tons of Season 6 Information from Comic Con
Posted on Jul 25, 2009 by Posted by: Clarissa

The Lost Comic Con panel was today and show runners Damon and Carlton, along with cast members Jorge Garcia, Michael Emerson, Josh Holloway, Dominic Monaghan and Nestor Carbonell, showed up to share a lot of information about Season 6.

Expect Season 6 to resemble Season 1 in many respects, including the return of Season 1 characters, though we're not yet sure which characters.

Since some of this information is spoilery and some people might not want hints about what's going to happen in the final season, click here for all of the information revealed by the panel.

ABC is putting up videos that are apparently about the Dharma Initiative.  The first video seems to be talking about "secret societies" and the Dharma Intiative.  No word yet on whether these videos will explain canon or just be more information about Dharma.

Future videos, according to the ODI, are to be released on:

7/23/09
8/4/09
9/8/09

Elizabeth Mitchell Comic Con Interview
Posted on Jul 25, 2009 by Posted by: Clarissa

At Comic Con the other day, Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet) answered questions about Lost and how joining the new show, "V", will impact her appearance on Lost.  In the season 5 finale, Juliet fell to the bottom of a shaft at the Swan Station and banged on the nuclear bomb until it exploded.  Her fate is up in the air.  Will she die?

Even before this last season of Lost, you talked about how you thought Juliet would probably have a tragic ending.
Yeah, I always figured that she would. I actually had thought that she would end up doing something terrible, but then as it went on, I kind of thought she would end up doing something incredibly noble, which is what she did by sacrificing herself. The character was insanely complex and insanely fun. As she started going more in one direction, I thought, “Well, obviously this is going to come to its natural conclusion.”

Click here to read the rest of the interview about Elizabeth's take on Juliet's past on Lost, her transition to V and her position as a Sawyer/Kate sipper.

ABC Launches "Lost University"
Posted on Jul 23, 2009 by Posted by: Clarissa

So I wake up this morning to find that ABC has launched a new website called "Lost University".  An examination of the site shows that whatever the heck it is, it won't be totally active until September 22.  For now, you can broswse through the course calendar (which includes classes like "PHY101: Introductory Physics of Time Travel").

I'm not sure that this will turn out to be a full-fledged ARG like we've seen from the Lost team in the past, but it might provide some clues for Season 6.

According to the news section: Enrollment for the first semester of LOST University will be open to all students beginning September 22nd, 2009. At that time, you will take a placement exam and be given a Student ID, as well as be able to watch your LOST University introductory class, LOST 101. Semester 1 begins on December 8, 2009, at which point you will be able to choose and enroll in all of your classes, as you build credits toward Semester 2 and graduation.

Elizabeth Mitchell Talks about Lost at Comic Con
Posted on Jul 23, 2009 by Posted by: Clarissa

Elizabeth Mitchell responds to a fan's questions at a Comic Con panel today.  He asked whether she would be returning to Lost for Season 6 and she said she was instructed by Darlton to say "it depends on whether Jack's plan worked".  She also basically said "duh, that's why they call it a cliffhanger!", but in a nice way.  Check out the video below.
